Making the Most of Your Stay at ZoonDub

Things to Do at ZoonDub

Ideas, experiences and possibilities for groups planning more than just an overnight stay.

One of the questions we’re often asked by groups planning a stay at ZoonDub is…

“What will we do for two days?”

It’s a fair question.

At ZoonDub, we believe holidays are best experienced, not scheduled.

Some of the happiest memories are made not by searching for the next activity, but by allowing memorable moments to find you.

The ideas below are not an itinerary. They are simply possibilities. Pick the ones that appeal to your group, ignore the rest, and let your stay unfold at its own pace.

Slow Down

Sometimes the best way to enjoy ZoonDub is to do very little.

Watch the valley change colour as the day unfolds. Sit with a cup of tea and an unhurried conversation. Read a book. Take an afternoon nap. Wander around the estate. Find your own favourite corner. Or simply sit quietly and enjoy the view.

There is no rush. There is nowhere else you need to be.

Play Together

Every group has its own personality.

Some enjoy a little friendly competition. Others simply enjoy watching from the sidelines.

Depending on the mood of your group, you may like to enjoy:

  • Swimming in the infinity pool.
  • Friendly games of fun cricket.
  • Throw ball.
  • Cycling around the nearby village roads.
  • Playing cards.
  • Carrom.
  • Chess.
  • Board games.
  • Rain dance (weather permitting and on request).

There is no right or wrong choice—only the one your group enjoys most.

Explore Pawna Valley

The experience doesn’t end at the gates of ZoonDub.

If your group enjoys the outdoors, you may choose to explore some of the experiences the valley has to offer.

These include:

  • Trekking to the historic Tikona Fort.
  • Early morning nature walks.
  • Village walks.
  • Bird watching.
  • Participating in seasonal farming activities.
  • Boating on Pawna Lake (subject to weather conditions).
  • Paragliding nearby (subject to weather conditions).

Some members of the group may head out for an adventure while others prefer to stay back and enjoy the estate.

Both are equally rewarding.

Around the Dining Table

Meals at ZoonDub are rarely hurried.

They are often where stories are shared, friendships grow stronger and laughter lingers long after the plates have been cleared.

Enjoy:

  • Long breakfasts.
  • Relaxed lunches.
  • Evening tea with valley views.
  • A barbecue evening.
  • Home-style dinners served around one table.

Some of the best moments of a holiday happen between the courses.

As Evening Falls

As the sun slips behind the hills, the mood changes once again.

The evening might include:

  • A bonfire beneath the stars.
  • Karaoke.
  • Music.
  • Playing cards.
  • Board games.
  • Carrom.
  • Chess.
  • Stargazing when the skies are clear.
  • Conversations that continue well into the night.

Every evening is different because every group is different.

For the Younger Members of the Group

Children rarely need a plan.

Given a little space and a little freedom, they usually create their own adventures.

They may enjoy:

  • Swimming.
  • Cycling.
  • Running across the open lawns.
  • Exploring nature.
  • Seasonal farming experiences.
  • Board games.
  • Making new friends within the group.

Parents often tell us that the children never wanted the holiday to end.

Everyone Doesn’t Have to Do the Same Thing

One of the nicest things about a stay at ZoonDub is that everyone is free to enjoy it differently.

Some may be trekking to Tikona Fort.

Some may be reading in a quiet corner.

Some may be cycling through the village.

Children may be in the pool.

Someone may already be asking for another cup of tea.

And when it’s time for breakfast, lunch or dinner, everyone naturally comes together again.

There is something rather special about that.

The Best Plan Is Not Having One

Every group writes its own ZoonDub story.

Some return home talking about the trek.

Others remember the barbecue.

Some remember the bonfire.

Many remember the conversations.

And almost everyone remembers the feeling of wishing they had just one more day.

Come with a few ideas.

Leave with memories you never planned.

We hope your time at ZoonDub becomes one of those weekends your group continues talking about for years to come.
